Hey! Thanks for stopping by. If you’re new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed or follow me on Twitter. Thanks for visiting!
In case you’re living under a rock, like I was until recently, this is the run down of Creative Estates.

Doesn’t that sound like a million pounds of fun? (Who really says things like ‘a million pounds of fun’?)
Anyway, the conference is in Chandler, Arizona on April 8th, 9th and 10th. Tickets are only $149, which is dang cheap for a 3 day conference of this type.
Check out the Agenda here. I’d have a hard time choosing which sessions to go to if I was able to go.
You can register here, but be sure to check out the whole Creative Estates website, especially the guest speakers.

If you’re like me and need to win tickets in order to go, be sure to check out Shey B’s Get Your Butt to Arizona giveaway post here. She’s generously giving away 2 or more all-inclusive passes to the lucky winners. YAY!
Do you already have your tickets? No?! Better hurry! And let us know if you’ll be attending!

I was one of the first 3 comments on a friend’s blog, so I guess it’s time for me to post this :
The first THREE people to leave a comment on this post will receive, at some point during the year, a handmade gift from me. What it will be and when it will arrive is a total surprise. The catch is that you must participate as well. Before you leave your comment here, write up a pay it forward post on your Blog to keep the fun going ( or you can cut and paste from this one like I did ) then come back and let me know you’re going to play. Then sit back and wait to receive your fun gift : ) Remember that only the first THREE comments will receive a gift from me, so hurry, hurry, hurry !
Thanks Lisa!

My children — They are healthy, ornery and intelligent. My life is hectic, full and amazing with them in it. They have thought me to be patient, to look at the world through different eyes.
My husband — Though our marriage is still fresh, our partnership is anything but new. I am thankful that he is by my side, helping and supporting. He is the mayonnaise on my sandwich of life — without him everything would be too dry.
My mother — Currently she is furiously scrubbing “her bathroom” which happens to be the main bathroom that a certain mostly potty-trained little boy pees all over. She’s also made breakfast and cleaned the kitchen this morning. Our household would come to a grinding stop without her in it with us. Some may dread having their mother come to stay with em, but we absolutely adore her.
The rest of my family — Every one of them rounds out this little slice of life that I call my own. Were they not here something would feel amiss.
The rain — While the mud in my dirt backyard is not fun, I am happy to have the rain wash everything away. It gives us a chance to hunker down and enjoy time as a family while drinking hot spiced cider.

I am thankful that we are healthy, that we have a home and have food to fill our bellies. There are needy families who cannot say that they have health, wealth or happiness like I can. Though money can be scarce most of the time, I am rich. For that I am eternally thankful.
Now… where’s the turkey?

Still trying to decide if all 3 of these would work well together. Flowers and Stripes is City GIrl by Bernatex and Giraffe print is Happy Trails by Bernatex.
We’d love to have you join the fun. Check out Tamara’s blog 1/4 of an inch for info!

So I went ahead and bit the bullet. I joined the Market Tote Swap hosted by InANutshell. The last couple swaps I’ve participated in have been a complete flop. I’d put so much love and time into them and received, well… I’d rather not say. On top of that my last apron I mailed is still missing in transit. I’m hoping that this one will pull me up out of the dumps and it sounds like so much fun.
There’s still a couple hours left to sign up, head on over and join me. It looks like a great bunch of crafters so far! (Nudge nudge Nicky)
