Five sur­geons from big cities are dis­cussing who makes the Best patients to oper­ate on. The first sur­geon, from New York, says, “I like to see accoun­tants on my oper­at­ing table because when you open them up, every­thing inside is num­bered.”

The sec­ond, from Chicago, responds, “Yeah, but you should try elec­tri­cians! Every­thing inside them is color coded.”

The third sur­geon, from Dal­las, says, “No, I really think librar­i­ans are the best, every­thing inside them is in alpha­bet­i­cal order”

The fourth sur­geon, from Los Ange­les, chimes in: “You know, I like con­struc­tion work­ers. Those guys always under­stand when you have a few parts left over.”

But the fifth sur­geon, from Wash­ing­ton, DC, shut them all up when he observed: “You’re all wrong. Politi­cians are the eas­i­est to oper­ate on.. There’s no guts, no heart, no balls, no brains and no spine, and the head and the rear end are interchangeable.

Recently my hus­band yelled down the hall at me “Is Declan allowed to be play­ing with your cam­era?” I responded with a resound­ing “NO!”

For a three year old this isn’t too bad of a cap­ture series, huh?

So I decided to join in Sun­day Stash started by Tamara of 1/4 of an inch. The idea is to air out some of your stash and maybe get some inspiration.

This is one of my favorite fab­rics. I picked it up on clear­ance when a local Han­cocks was going out of busi­ness. I’m not sure what to do with it though. Of course I bought 2 yards… just in case

This is a lovely lit­tle 1 yard piece that I just picked up at Good­Will this Sat­ur­day. $1.50! Go Me! It is Alexan­der Henry’s “The Great Pumpkin”.

Under­neath both of these is a huge piece of yummy cor­duroy that I also scored at the thrift store also. It’s a rusty red­dish brown that will make great fall or win­ter projects. I intend to use it for steam­punk cos­tumes, of course.
